Community Health Educator
Denise Elizabeth Camp was born in Chicago at Illinois Research, now known as the University of Illinois. Denise graduated from Marshall High School and is married with a family of four boys. Most of her time in Chicago has been on the west side, although the family lived briefly in Harvey.
Denise’s work history spans home care, telemarketing, file clerk, and work on the security team at Mount Sinai Hospital. She was stationed at the Kling building for the majority of her service at Sinai.
Denise was introduced to Dr. Joseph West and was invited to start training as a diabetes educator for the North Lawndale project. She learned a lot in a little amount of time, and looks forward to using what she’s learned to educate the community. Denise has always wanted jobs that provide her the opportunity to work with and directly impact people.
