Janeen Turner, MPA

Janeen Turner joined the SUHI family as Supervisor of Program Initiatives for the Helping Her Live Program.  She was previously part of the Research and Education Foundation of the Michael Reese Medical Staff where she worked in women’s health.  Working there allowed her to gain a lot of experience supporting various women's health projects as well as working alongside women to enable them to make more informed choices regarding their health care needs.  As part of the R & E Foundation, Janeen coordinated the Foundations’ Family Planning Program and the Illinois Breast and Cervical Cancer Program where she also created educational materials and coordinated same-day services.  She has several years of experience in the health care industry, including grant administration; program coordination; and case management.  

As part of the Helping Her Live Program, Janeen will manage our outreach and educational activities in North Lawndale and will ensure that all women get routine mammograms. She has a Master's in Public Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Administration and is looking forward to expanding our presence in the North Lawndale community.
