Professional Summary
Joseph F. West joined Sinai Urban Health Institute (SUHI) in January 2007. Dr. West currently serves as the Project Director of the North Lawndale Smoking Cessation Program a community-based intervention funded by the Illinois Department of Public Health. Prior to joining the Sinai Urban Health Institute, Dr. West served as an epidemiologist at the University of Wisconsin Medical School, and as a researcher at the University of Chicago Chapin Hall Center for Children.

His research interests include cancer prevention, public policy and human development, evaluation research and men’s health.
