Professional Summary Maria Natal has been with the Sinai Urban Health Institute (SUHI) as an Administrative Assistant since March of 2005. Mrs. Natal performs a variety of tasks for SUHI and its various grants. Specifically, she provides administrative and financial support to the HIV and asthma programs as well as assisting with data entry for the Stand Against Cancer (SAC) project. Recently, Natal received her Spanish Medical Interpreters Certification. With this certification, she provides medical translation services for patients visiting the Sinai Health System. She also serves as one of our translators for both the asthma project and the KYS (Know Your Status) project. Her Spanish translator skills have assisted SUHI in translating several data collection tools and an abundance of other documents, which allows SUHI to reach out to our Spanish speaking community. Mrs. Natal spends her time outside of work with her loving and supportive husband and their two beautiful, intelligent boys. She is an excellent asset to the SUHI team and looks forward to the many opportunities to assist in delivering sound research and services to the community.
