Breast Cancer Health Educator
Regina has been with Mount Sinai Hospital and the Sinai Urban Health Institute since May of 2004. As a member of Sinai, Regina has worked on several grant funded projects. Her first was the Shast Project, a HIV prevention program; the second project was the Southside/Westside Women’s Collaborative, and currently she serves as a Community Health Educator on the Avon Breast Cancer Community Grant. Regina’s primary duties are to go out in her community and educate the community on breast cancer and how to get them in for treatment if needed. Before coming to Mount Sinai Hospital Regina worked as a nurse assistant for 9 years. With this experience along with her medical assistant certification Regina has been able to help others and as of today she’s still loves and is passionate about the work she does for her community.

Ms. Flowers spends her free time taking care of her 3 kids and her sister’s 5 kids after she passed away in 1996. Regina also takes care of her elderly mom, along with a friend’s daughter.
