Research Assistant II

Professional Summary
Sheena Freeman serves as a Research Assistant II providing extensive data management for several projects including CPATCE (Controlling Pediatric Asthma Through Collaboration and Education), Westside Healthy Start, PREvent Study (Pregnancy Risk Event Study) and Stand Against Cancer. Ms. Freeman joined the Sinai Urban Health Institute as a Research Assistant in March 2002 working on the NIOS (NICU Infant Outcomes Study) Project responsible for data collection. She has gained experience with these projects by building and managing databases, designing forms, collecting data, as well as abstracting data from patient medical records.

Prior to joining Sinai Urban Health Institute she worked with the Department of Commerce-Bureau of the Census as an Automation Technician, training and supervising the office automation staff and managing the Novell LAN Network, conducting interviews and administering the Bayley Scales of Infant Development to children up to one year of age. She also worked with the Geography Department digitizing and updating digital maps using TIGER GIS database for address resolutions.
